Regular Shinies
- These are still core collector targets and remain one of the first rarity goals many players chase.
- They can become much more valuable when combined with other traits like tints, auras, reskins, alpha status, or strong species demand.
- Do not assume all shinies are equal. Species, availability, and stacked traits matter.
Secret Shinies
- Secret Shinies are among the standout flex variants in Project ULTIMA and instantly attract collector attention.
- They are the kind of variant players remember, especially when paired with rare species or additional appearance traits.
- A strong Secret Shiny can carry much more trade interest than a normal shiny of the same species.
Reskins, Auras, and Tints
- Reskins change the look and identity of a Pokémon beyond standard palette differences, which makes them especially appealing to collectors.
- Auras and animations add another prestige layer because the effect itself can matter just as much as the Pokémon.
- Tints create another dimension of customization and rarity, especially when players hunt for specific looks or stacked visual combinations.
Alpha Pokémon and special combinations
- Alpha Pokémon add another collectible lane with their own appeal and value.
- When caught, Alpha Pokémon automatically have their Hidden Ability unlocked and come with a guaranteed 3x31 IV spread.
- They also appear bigger than standard Pokémon and have a special send-out animation in PvP, which makes them stand out visually as well as mechanically.
- The biggest value jumps often happen when multiple rarity systems land on the same Pokémon.
- Because Project ULTIMA has layered rarity, a single Pokémon may be prized for species, rarity class, tint, aura, reskin, and overall combination.

How players usually judge value
- Species demand: fan-favorite, strong battlers, and event icons usually hold attention better.
- Trait layering: stacked rarity systems often matter more than one isolated trait.
- Availability: limited, retired, or hard-to-reproduce variants usually gain collector weight.
- Presentation: tints, aura animations, reskins, alpha status, and shiny class together can completely transform perceived value.
- Timing: event seasons, announcements, or feature updates can change what players are actively hunting.
Collector advice
- Do not undersell unusual combinations just because they are hard to compare.
- Take screenshots and document special traits before listing anything valuable.
- When trading, ask yourself whether the other player is valuing the species only or the full package.
